But, “work something out” also means: “Deport illegal aliens .... and their children.”
We do, after all, put criminals (even those with children) in jail against heir will, right?
Now, those who were born here - even those illegally “imported” here to serve as “anchor babies” - may be able to go up the line for re-admission as legal adults once they are adults.

The big thing is to stop the entrance of illegals, kick all the criminals back to Mexico, stop citizenship for anchor babies, and then let's see where we are.

Here’s what I don’t understand.....
....you got the Rahm Emmanuels and that nut from New York out loudly declaring their cities to be “sanctuary cities”.
This is a blatant breaking of federal law yet we elected these people, and keep on electing them, and THEN WE GET MAD AT THE ILLEGALS FOR TAKING THEM AT THEIR WORD?
I know FreeRepublic gets all wadded up about illegals, and rightfully so. But to think that we are going to send some ten million people back to countries where many of them never knew (dreamers) while we got legally elected Americans over here pointing to their cities, telling them to come here....well I got a bridge to sell, cheap.
First thing, stop the flow of illegal immigrants, build a wall....whatever. Second, arrest those Americans flipping this country the bird by advertising their sanctuary cities because if you don’t think a Syrian coming through Chicago can’t find their way to your home town....well again, that bridge I got to sell cheap.
After all this, no we don’t grant a blanket amnesty. But we don’t go deporting hoards of innocent people who only took up our offers via Dead Fish Emmanual.
And Trump ain’t going to do any such thing either.
Now I don’t have the answers but I do know that once upon a time we gave Ronald Reagan permission to grant amnesty and we were promised it would never happen again.
Yet it did.
And here are elected Americans shouting about their fine, fine sanctuary cities and we get mad at the people taking them up on their offers?
THIS time we got to do it right.
I’m hoping that “work something out” means taking any child 16 or over and help fund a return to his/her country of origin. Then fast track them back here after a year. If we’re paying for their education here why not stop that and pay elsewhere. As far as under 16, if their parents are legal, they stay, if their parents are not legal, they all go. In either case illegal parents go. I know... confusing and involves money but I’m guessing 50% of those who go will stay gone.
I want details on that as well.
I want to go on record in case his team reads FR that i am not a mindless syncophant,i will not make excuses for him like others, and i expect him to keep firm on his promises to me (as his voter).
We all need to hold his feet to the fire, since he is this country’s last hope.

Because it’s still illegal. You’re pretending illegals dont know they are here illegally. No matter what mayors of sanctuary cities do, every person is responsible for their own actions.
That is what we will each be judged for.
I’ve come to agree with you. I work in the construction field and must say, these Mexicans work and they work hard.
One supervisor told me his crew wanted to work Christmas day last year.
I can get behind a program that allows aliens to enter, register, work for a specified time and leave. They can come back next year and do it all over again.
However, hiring precedence goes to American citizens in all cases.
Illegals caught without proof of registration are deported and prevented from return for ten years. Criminals do time and on release are deported permanently. If they return, life sentence in a desert tent prison.
Children born here of alien parents are not American citizens.
Citizenship may be earned by aliens
