Rand Paul has never won anything but the senate seat he holds and he is doing a piss poor job in that. Who does he think he is second guessing the next President Donald Trump.

His time in the senate is based on daddies coat tails and he is serving on borrowed time.

I support Trump, but some of the support I see here and in other conservative forums borders on idolatry. Do you know what idolatry is (without looking it up)?

Keeping it simple: there are 3 branches of government. Paul is in the legislative branch. Trump will be executive branch. Paul’s job is to ask questions about executive branch nominees.

As far as I can tell, one positive aspect of Rand Paul (and his dad I suppose) is his consistency of position. He didn't support the Iraq War when it began and he's not going to support it, nor those who engineered and cheerleaded it. Other than that, I haven't followed him all that closely, so I only know that he tends to take the libertarian position, as his dad did.

With regards to the Pauls in government, I will say that they may not be perfect, but I'd be happier with a lot more Pauls in office in place of all of the ,let's say, McCains and Grahams, and McConnels, and virtually every Democrat.
