President-elect Donald Trump promised this week to "work something out" for the Dreamers, and on Friday, two senators served up a possible solution.
Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) will introduce legislation Friday to give young immigrants three years of protection from deportation under a new program allowing them to work, go to school or the military, and remain in the U.S. if they are otherwise lawful.

Illegal aliens are barred from the military under current law, only citizens and green card holders may serve.
Trump has said he is going to “work something out” for the illegal aliens affected by DACA.
It would be a mistake, making deporting the parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. that much more difficult.
The parents are the ones responsible for the kids being here illegally, they should go home with their parents.
The question that should be asked of Durbin and Graham is: How does this serve the interests of the American people?
Remember, President Trump’s overarching agenda is America First.
I understand the humanitarian angle of their proposal, but granting amnesty to illegal foreigners under any guise, puts Americans second. We’ve had quite enough of that, over the last quarter century.
I’m sorry, but if we make an exception for these youngsters, it’ll open the door to granting exceptions for all sorts of other classes of illegals. They’ve got to go back to their home countries and get in line to do it legally.
