Is it revenue neutral just like the US state lotteries? The claim was the revenue would go to schools “for the children”. What they forgot to mention is for every $1 in a $1 goes out of the school budgets. That’s why no one’s property taxes went down.
Better hope a volcano doesn’t erupt on your property. Sheeesh... literally the most common element on earth and the slaves are now going to charged with “producing” it???
YOU DO NOT PRODUCE CARBON, IT IS ALREADY HERE!!!
Perhaps some of these egg-headed nincompoops need to be tarred and feathered and run out of town on an old splintery split fence rail. But wait..... tar us a carbon too and a fine might be involved.
When change is in the air they continue on thier destructive path
Alberta could become the 51st state.
“How will they remit to Gaia?”
Throw a “Denier” into a volcano? (”Gaia has no need for cash - we’ll just take care of that for Her.” - Government)
Elect frickin communists and this is what you get.
Hey Canooks, try a general strike.
It’s a bit different. For every dollar of carbon tax collected, the B.C. Provincial government reduces other taxes by a dollar. There’s no earmarking, like there is in the lotteries.
However, it might not be the same in other provinces (and Ontario and Quebec will have cap-and-trade, instead of a tax). If carbon-tax revenues get earmarked for “green energy” projects; then it won’t be revenue neutral (and will be wasteful).
