The one bright side is that it gets another Cheap Labor Express Republican out of Congress.

I wonder why she would take a cabinet slot. Seems like a step down. Perhaps this just adds to her resume.

Is the WA Legislature run by Dems?
Perhaps she thinks they’ll redistrict her out.

I hope she opens up our wilderness areas so we can actually use our lands for recreation.

You think running a large federal bureaucracy and sitting at the big table with the President and his Cabinet to MAGA is a step down from being one out of 435? “Highest Ranking” is a nothingburger.

In a Blue State like Washington, advancement prospects are limited if you’re a Republican.
She’ll never win a Senate seat there.

You’re thinking Senator.
A vacancy in the House calls for a special election........
To: goldstategop
Shell never win a Senate seat there.
Unless she can find a way to hide enough ballots in the trunks of old Buicks.
To: Red Badger
GOP will keep her seat; its a GOP district.

one would expect that, UNLESS Washington law is such that the outgoing Rep’s Party “Steering” Committee gets to make the appointment, which is the case in some states.
