Yes, I am from Michigan, and I heard about this on Michigan radio news program out of state capital, Lansing.

In Detroit News, two Republican Michigan Supreme Court Judges have excluded themselves from Stein’s appeal because they were on Trumps list. Young and Larsen were on the list.

That leaves the SC with 3 Repubs and 2 Dems. One of the Repubs tends lean more Dem then Repub. Not so sure now about that appeal being rejected or the case being heard.

Repubs always bow out- one of the Judges, Young is 65 yrs old- highly doubtful he would be nominated (in his own words).

Trump did not bring the suit, so I don’t think the justices needed to recuse themselves. Stein has said it was not about Trump, but about ‘honest recounts’, so again I see no reason for the MI Supreme Court justices to recuse themselves just because they were on Trump’s top 20 list of possible Scotus picks.

I find it odd how many times the media and everyone following the media's lead have proclaimed these recounts dead but seems to me like this Stein is going to appeal to the MI Supreme court but everyone has said at every step that “Stein” would be stopped. I guess this Stein stooge who managed to get a 1% of the vote is now super Stein or has a hidden funder , the world's most powerful leftist political activist Soros. It's the latter.

It would be interesting to hear from an attorney with experience before the Michigan Supreme Court.

Some years ago in Indiana, Boxer Mike Tyson was convicted of rape by the trial court. Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz saw an opportunity for some publicity so he sought and received permission to represent Tyson on appeal.

After losing before the state Court of Appeals, Dershowitz made a big deal out of demanding that one of the Justices on the Supreme Court recuse himself, because Dershowitz had met his wife at a dinner party as I recall. The Justice was happy to comply with Dershowwitz' request, but pointed out in his order that, in Indiana, Justices who recuse themselves are not replaced and that Dershowitz previously had to convince 3 out of 5 justices and now had to convince 3 out of 4.

Tyson went to prison.
