Rode my bike up to the Gathering of Eagles in DC 17 March and it was 26 degrees. Full leathers and my daughter rode up with me. Had several other friends riding with me and we were ready for he liberal protestors which we outnumbered significantly.
We rode in and ended up by the Treasury Dept in a no parking zone. Couple guards walked out and started walking towards us and I said “Is this going to be an issue?” and the guards said “No problem, you Vets park where you want and we’ll watch your bikes”.
From there it just got better...

Remember what FDR did after his first inaugural? The festivities were canceled and they went to work. Genius. Turning inaugurals into business events rather than glamorous celebrity galas would be refreshingly different.
