Black employees of CNN are suing the company and its affiliates for racial discrimination.
The class action was filed in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday on behalf of two workers, Celeslie Henley and Ernest Colbert Jr, but alleges widespread discrimination throughout the organizations.
'Dramatic' differences in pay, harsher evaluations for black males and fewer available promotions are among evidence of the prejudice, the lawsuit alleges.
CNN declined to comment on the case when comment on the case when contacted. TBS and Time Warner did not respond to requests. . .

The Caucasian News Network is wacist? Say it ain’t so...
Yep - sorta like when Saudi Arabia gets hit by islamic terrorism. Not much sympathy.
I agree it can happen in rare individual cases, but it is highly unlikely to occur on a widespread “institutional” level, as is most commonly claimed these days. What happened was that true cases of racial discrimination are so rare that the race hustlers had to resort to this nebulous term “institutional racism” to continue to push their agenda. It’s a completely unverifiable claim because part of their theory is that institutional racism is underground, hidden, and so subtle that it is hard to see directly.
The issue of "race" is always granted top billing despite any performance issues.
Hold up, Dawg! Ain’t CNN run by Democrats?
In my experience “gender” is right up there as well; women working 30 hours per week want pay parity with men doing the same work for 50 hours per week. When the company obliged (or went even further, promoting some), many of us men reduced our workweek to the bare minimum.
I can’t remember the last time I answered a work-related email when I wasn’t physically in my office...
the problem is that for every case of genuine discrimination there are 10 that are made up....this is just a made up number on my part but I have seen reel discrimination in the work place but I have seen a lot more I did not get what I wanted so I will claim they did it because -——— insert disabled, sex or minority race....I have found that most people just want to work with someone willing to do the job.
Yep. Thomas Sowell elaborates on the men/women pay parity myth extensively and convincingly. I almost believed the lies until he dragged me into the light of truth.
I never believed them because of my own experiences; in accounting terms too many women were “LIFO” (last in, first out).
LOL! Clever descriptor. And that’s even women WITHOUT child responsibilities.
Thanks; yes, that is women without children.
It’s bitch when your yin bites you in the yang.
Probably just holding them to the same standards and not overlooking issues like punctuality, absenteeism, communications, dress codes, etc. Think about the schools systems that are lowering standards in order to recognize that many black people “grow up in a different culture”, and the same for hiring in public employee jobs (such as police depts), for which the standards have been reduced in order to have more minorities qualify.
I’m waiting and hoping for the day, when, the DNC and the Democrats in general, get sued for discrimination against blacks and Hispanics and others. “Allegations” (which in reality would be true facts) would be the use and abuse of blacks and Hispanics to advance the party’s agenda, while doing nothing for those constituencies.
What else can you expect in a lying, leftist, openly-biased network that claims to be a news source? I always felt that CNN was over-represented by minorities to an extent that it created an imbalance.
Ha!
You helped make this crap sandwich CNN, now eat it!!
I gave first hand experience with public TV and being a veteran. The two at times really didn’t go together. I wound up saying lawsuit to get the point across.
I hope CNN is sued into a new stone age.

Unfortunately, they don’t need to prove it for the damage to be done.
