The problem is that the laws haven’t changed, just the lack of enforcement. But the lack of enforcement has created a problem that will not be easily solved. So for openers, we need to stop the entry of still more “dreamers,” and we need to figure out how to deal more effectively with the countries from which these people a coming.
In order for any illegal alien under current law to apply to be an American, they have to go home and apply like anyone else.
Trump is indicating he is open to changing the law, at least for the so-called Dreamers.
The problem is that once we open that door, the demands for a wider amnesty will increase.
Can’t deport the parents, the grandparents, the uncles, the aunts, the cousins, etc.
