While I appreciate the sentiment, and support an effective military, you don't get there from here by dumping more money on this Pentagon. Most of the money gets lost in the acquisition mess in D.C. with little produced for the war-fighter - Trump's call for the cancellation of the Air Force 1 contract is the tip of this ice berg. You need to deracinate an entire corrupt crony-capitalist inside the beltway system before you can actually be more effective in military spending. And its not "an investment." It's an expense. You don't own a capital asset off of which you can generate an income stream. This abuse of the word "investment" in D.C. is one of those Orwellian distortions that keep anyone from knowing what is actually going on.

Excellent post, good sir. The defense budget may need more money or may not. I do not know. Donald Trump is a bottom line man and he will know shortly if not before taking office.

One thing is certain: If the injuns had a bigger defense budget, they'd still be in charge here! < /sarc >
