The amenities put any jeep product to shame. The ride unparalleled. To me, a Jeep is for a younger sort. My olde aching bones don’t like bouncing around...that was in another time. ;)
However the Gr Laredo is nice looking. Doesn’t have the visibility of a X-5.
I’ve been off-road a lot in the beemer, altho not extreme off-roading, and the AWD is super to have. Brakes are much superior to jeep products.
Take a test drive from a 50 mph line, do a *panic stop* and see what happens. In both cars.
Drive in snow somewhere [if you can] and see how it handles.
Do a *cost to own* on one of the web sites. It will help you make your mind up.
