Web Giants Coordinate to Remove Extremist Content
Reuters via Breitbart ^ | 12/06/16

(Reuters) — Web giants YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft will step up efforts to remove extremist content from their websites by creating a common database.
The companies will share ‘hashes’ – unique digital fingerprints they automatically assign to videos or photos – of extremist content they have removed from their websites to enable their peers to identify the same content on their platforms.

“We hope this collaboration will lead to greater efficiency as we continue to enforce our policies to help curb the pressing global issue of terrorist content online,” the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.

Tech companies have long resisted outside intervention in how their sites should be policed, but have come under increasing pressure from Western governments to do more to remove extremist content following a wave of militant attacks.

I predict IF theses sites begin to censor people they politically disagree with, then they will go the same way as other sites that have tried censorship in the past.

Other new web sites will pop up and fill the void.

Leftist cannot have a free and open debate because they will lose every time. Which is why they are pushing for censorship. Political censorship is basically suicide for these web sites.

What do they determine to be extremist views? All of the media were saying Trump was an extremist. Are they going to ban Trump?

That’s what I was thinking that they will be OK will socialist views but not conservative views as they deem conservatives as extremists.

Big Brother with a Smiley Face

The Internet has jumped the shark.

An omnibus personal media platform independently encompassing all social media, Facebook, Twitter & all, intricately controlled by YOU, is 'technically' possible--but you'll never see it.

It would enable you to absolutely control your own e-profile, dynamically interacting all social media solely at your command, completely immune to censorship, hosted on your computer as an independent, autonomous server. The technology exists now. But computer techno-fascism will never allow you to have it.

A microcosmic example is 'the internet of things'. To counter the 'blinking 12:00 display' on all your devices, they should all interact wirelessly with your phone for you to fully control them. DREAM ON. The 'internet of things' exists only to spy on you, to send information about your use habits to some anonymous data miners who will, of course, 'guarantee your anonymity' - just like the government that can never respond to Freedom of Information Act requirements, but knows everything you do.

"Web Giants to Co-Operate on Removal of 'Extremist' Content'. You can be dead certain that includes your beliefs.

Our personal viewpoint happens to be the 'extremist' support of the right of Moms to decide without interference if they want to save their children, not from dangerous bur irrelevant little Christians praying out in front of the abortion biz, but from the real enemies of 'reproductive choice', the women's boyfriends, the new children's Grandmas who want to force the Mom to abort.

Sixty-Four Percent (64%) of Aborting Moms “Felt Pressured By Others” (217 sample population).

A woman in a crisis pregnancy wants an abortion about as much as a mother wolf caught in a trap wants to chew her leg off.

That makes us enemies of the Worldwide Consortium of Social Media Sultans. They're going to clean us up from presenting any non-vanilla viewpoint, relegating independent thought to oblivion, to anything innocuous, ignorant, idiotic.

Sounds like one hell of a Human Rights and Anti-Trust case to start off the new Administration with AG Sessions.

Negotiation is not part of the libtard lexicon. They have flourished only because they have had a monopoly on media that has permitted them to amplify their threats and hide their cowardly failure. PC behavior is their centerpiece.
Fortunately, the bully is playing it’s last bluff. Their best efforts will have little impact on sharing of information.

Yep. It’s been hammered by left-leaning media over and over and over for years...conservative=extreme. It’s been said directly or suggested through little phrases like “out of step with...” and such.

Go ahead idiots, piss off half the population of the USA, and the world for that matter. See how that works out for you. No one else could possibly ever create a social media platform or search engine like you geniuses have, so what do you have to lose?

Ask Kellogs how their share price is doing.

What's 'funny' about this is that Google, the number one search engine, created "learning" software that anticipates what you want to ask it. With each letter or word you add to your query, Google attempts to finish your question for you. (You've experienced this yourself, right?)

Play with it sometime. Google gets positively nasty if one types "blacks s" --that's all. Just blacks s. Benevolent, enlightened Google will do the rest.

Probably a zillion other "learned" answers out there in Googleland, just waiting for unasked questions!
