I just found out that I had a ancestor who fought with the 22nd Virgina Infantry his commanding officer was Patton`s grandfather.

George S Patton Sr. They must have been up in the Shenandoah. Patton had several Confederate ancestors.

My dad served under General Patton in WWII, but he preferred General Patch. In the early days of Vietnam he worked with Patton’s son whom he found to be an excellent officer.
