Previously Laura was not enthusiastic about accepting the job as press secretary if offered. She cited her radio program which is very successful and which she loves, and her three adopted children (as a single mother). This morning she was more positive saying the change may be good and to be looked at as a new challenge. If offered, I believe she will accept it. I think Trump is also looking at Monica Crowley for the job.
Trump addressing the media at Trump Tower.
Said hello and he has a lot of good people coming in today.
They asked him about cancelling the plane.
He said it is way over budget, not right.
His approval rating is now at 45%.
Yes, I think Monica is being considered.
I tend to agree with you. Laura didn’t come out and say no in previous interviews, more or less danced around an answer and said something like it would be an honor to be asked. This morning she mentioned that she had spoken with a friend (IIRC he is a journalist or radio talk show person) and he said something like change can be good. She also mentioned she had been doing her radio show for 15 years (I didn’t realize it had been that long). I got the impression she would take it if it was offered to her. Either Laura or Monica would be great. Maybe Laura press sect’y and Monica ass’t press secretary? I like Stephen Miller a lot and think he’d be great in that job, too, but maybe Jeff Sessions wants to take him with him to the AG’s office since he’s been Jeff’s aide for some time.
I believe I heard/read that Jason Miller, Trump’s current communications guy, is also being considered.
