Yay for being a good supervisor! We do want them to be safe on the roads with the nasty weather moving in. There’s snow scattered across the state now. You have my sympathies.

I stayed in today, doing housework and laundry. An ugly, drizzly day here though not too cold. Supposed to get heavier rainfall throughout the night and that’s fine. We need all we can get!

Glad you had a good weekend.

Ours was good because it rained the whole time. You know it’s been dry when folks are happy about a soggy weekend. LOL!

Well hey there, LUV!

Yeah, it’s a dirty word but it’s one that has to be dealt with from time to time. It was time. LOL!

How are things going? Did your DIL get to see a doctor today?

The wheat is really springing up now and turning the fields a beautiful green.

It won’t be harvested next spring, though. It’ll be turned under to fertilize the fields instead. Dusty goes the organic route rather than chemical and that suits us fine. Safer for the cats and other critters.
But it’s rough the years he spreads chicken poop. GACK!!

Hey, again! I was doing stuff with the kids so am running late.

She did see a doctor, got a D-Pak of antibiotics [I think that’s the one] and had x-rays. They were supposed to get back to her, but guess what. They didn’t. So she’ll call them in the morning to see what the x-rays saw.

She still has a cough and her chest and back or sore. Could be from all the coughing, but don’t need to take any chances!

I figured the girls were keeping you busy this evening. Did you watch the owls? Been a busy night inside and outside the house.

Were either of you surprised they didn’t get back with her about the results?

At least she has some meds and I hope they help quickly.

No, we weren’t surprised. She predicted it would happen. Healthcare sux! The meds should start helping soon.

Is it a busy place? It only takes a minute to process an x-ray. The care center I went to had mine done and looked at in no time and they sent it with me when they sent me to the ER. I just thought it was weird that the doctor said he couldn’t treat pneumonia. All they did at the hospital was give me a bunch of antibiotics and send me home.

Yeah, I’m with ya on “healthcare sux”. I don’t have much nice to say about how things are done these days.

I’m home and my feet are in front of a space heater. I am going to have to find some fur lined footwear for work.

It’s 5 outside, but maybe rising to 13 later tonight. d:o)

Quite a bit of homework....but it has the potential of making Tuesdays not so bad. Timesheets have to be in by 4p Monday now. Prelim work can stay late and we can start editing first thing. At first glance this could make things easier for me.

It’s the military clinic, so, yes, I’d say it’s pretty busy. Especially on a Monday morning. However, she was surprised she got in so quickly. I think she was really hoping that they couldn’t take her, so she could get permission to go to the care center herself.

I guess we’ll find out for sure tomorrow. I’m not even sure how long she wants me here. I guess I’ll just take it one day at a time.

Whew, I’m surprised you don’t already have fur-lined boots. Seems like that would be standard for getting through winters up there. LOL! I hope you can find some you like SOON because it sounds like you need them at the new office.

So the cold snap is moving out fairly quickly? Temps going UP overnight sounds good, even though it’s still gonna be mighty cold.

We’ll be cold Thurs. and Fri. with highs in the low to mid 30s, then it’ll warm back up a little over the weekend. Temps rising slightly overnight tonight as the second rain system comes through.

Hope all that homework tonight pays off tomorrow. ANYTHING to make the job easier at some point during these three days.

Ah, she went to the military clinic? I thought she went to urgent care. The important thing is she was seen today and that gets her on the track to recovery. Still keeping her in my prayers.

How long she’ll need you there depends on what they find out and what they tell her to do. I was told to STAY IN BED for two weeks, period. Only get up when absolutely necessary, like to eat or to feed the cats. Or to go to the store for more food. I did just that, too, because I didn’t want a relapse.

If they tell her a similar thing, she’ll need you to stay to take care of the girls.

Like you said, just gotta take it one day at a time and see how things go.

I may need someone to take care of our kittehs for a couple of days after tonight. I just couldn’t stand it any longer and have been scrubbing the kitchen walls. I’ve put it off as long as I could stand it because it kills my back to do it. If I can get two done tonight, I’ll be happy. The other two can wait a couple of days while my back calms down but they’ll get done asap. Once two walls are clean, the other two will drive me nuts. LOL!

Have you thought of just painting the walls? Would sure take less time and effort! LOL! That’s lazy me talking, ya know. :)

I’m staying for as long as they need me. Then when she says “go”, I will.

I’ve wanted the walls painted for years but Hubby won’t go for it. So I scrub them when I can’t stand them any more.
I’d much rather go the lazy route! :-)

The good thing is you have as much free time to stay as long as needed. A couple of months ago, you wouldn’t have had that luxury.
