Wisconsin Recount Results Day 4 & 3: Trump Grows Lead
Heavy ^ | 12/05/2016 | By Jessica McBride

Wisconsin recount returns for day 4 show that Donald Trump has continued to inch ahead of Hillary Clinton, gaining just over three dozen more net votes.

The Election Commission does not add up recount returns when they come in, but, rather, places the raw numbers on a spreadsheet that includes each reporting municipality. Heavy has tallied the returns by county from the Election Commission’s day 4 spreadsheet (it also includes returns from days 1, 2, and 3.) The December 4 spreadsheet is updated with more new returns each day. Details on gained and lost vote counts per county are listed later in this article.

What’s happening is this: Each major candidate is losing small numbers of votes here or there in the $3.5 million recount, but each is also gaining small numbers of votes here or there, so it is all basically a wash, as Trump slightly extends his lead and day 4 shows no indications of any significant change. Wisconsin uses a mixture of paper ballots and machines for voting, and some returns are being counted by hand, but others are not.

Day 4 totals:

Trump gained 356 votes
Trump lost 246 votes
Trump net gain on day 4: 110 votes

Clinton gained 296 votes
Clinton lost 225 votes
Clinton net gain on day 4: 71 votes

Thus, Trump has inched ahead by another net 39 votes as of day 4 of the recount.

The totals don’t count the City of Milwaukee; Some other websites are adding those in, but it’s extremely misleading to do so at this point. That’s because the City of Milwaukee’s wards currently show large deficits for each candidate in lost votes,

You’re correct in believing it won’t affect the results. However, if the liberals can remove Trump electoral votes, we won’t hear the end of it. Instead of Trump winning a landslide, it will be Trump just barely won, etc.

Add into your list of reforms...

* No third party paid registration (aka ACORN, etc)

* No hand collecting of absentee votes for delivery

Closest Trump state lost is NH where the difference is about 2,900 votes.

I think that's still too large to overturn and is out of recount territory. Which makes the recount efforts in MI, WI and PA so ridiculous.

If Wisconsin has 10,000 counties, this recount might change something. Otherwise, it is (and was always known to be) a complete waste of time and money.

I watched the Wisconsin live stream for a bit, and if anyone thinks hand counts are somehow more "accurate" or better need to take a look at the stream. It's mind numbing and it's easy to see how people can make errors.

Is Milwaukee waiting for everybody else to see what margin they need to make up?

No, Trump and the Republicans are too stupid to have people watching anything. They just want to had the election to Cankles.

Add more people. I’m pretty convinced this is well on track to finish early, with Trump having more votes than before.

It won’t matter.

For over a year, we had the libs and the neverTrumpers completely unable to understand Trump. It cost them badly.

Now our side is just as guilty. They keep thinking it matters if Trump wins by one vote or 100, or if the libs “contest” this after his inauguration, or if they try to “delegitimize” Trump.

HE DOESN’T PLAY BY THEIR RULES. It just doesn’t matter to him, because he does his agenda no matter what they say. Our side would do well to figure this out quickly and stop pearl-clutching, because the Trump Train is moving, the people know it, the Dems know it, and our side better get it quick.

If I were President Trump, I would take this silly recount fracas and use it as cover to appoint Attila The Hun as SoS.

Every day this is top of the news cycle, appoint someone who would otherwise be opposed to the second. Franklin Graham as Czar of American Religious Liberties.

They were all hands on deck last weekend; they had their ducks in a row before Schtein did; La Follette is a donkey's donk; but give these cheeseheads their due - they are going to be done by safe harbor.

I say add more people and buy them gourmet breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Let them work overtime and pay them time and a half. Then send the bill to Stein.

While the results are summarized as good news, the numbers do not relieve my concerns about the integrity of the system:

Trump gained 356 votes

Trump lost 246 votes

Trump net gain on day 4: 110 votes

So is this saying 356 votes got switched from non-Trump to Trump? and another 246 got switched from Trump to non-Trump? That would be changing 602 votes...The process seems like it should not have that much slop. How could it be so error prone? The ballot should be very objective, not subjective.

Yeah. I’m with you; these results are NOT reassuring at all.

Still, for the Left I suppose it’s ANYTHING up to and including wasting EVERYONE’S time and millions in OPM to avoid facing up to their LOSS. Hapless pukes.

We were doing our own spreadsheet work on another Wisconsin thread but it scrolled off.

Things to know:

1) As of lastest spreadsheet last night, about 1.1 million votes have been recounted. Thats about 36% of the total.

2) Many very heavy Hillary areas have been recounted. They show no indication of cheating whatsoever. These cheeseheads are just trying to get it right.

3) The recount started in earnest Friday, but some places used Friday to plan the activity. Dane County contains the city of Madison and they were one of these, but there were a handful of towns in Dane County that DID report some results. There is no evidence of any intentional slow walking. For example, Milwaukee County has many wards reporting, and they are heavily Hillary wards. No evidence of cheating.

4) It appears . . . for those wondering . . . that the reason the recount takes much longer than Election Day night is simply that all the ballots have been sent to the county. Rather than having all the 1000s of wards with their staff of 5 or 10 ppl managing the voting activity, then counting a few hundred at the end of the day and phoning it in, all the ballots are at the central county facility and they have to staff up to count them there.

5) Interesting tidbit from the video last night. A ballot counted on election day night was rejected. The ballot was an absentee from a person who mailed it in. It was all properly done. But the county got a phone call from the person’s family informing them that the person had died 2 days before election day. The county verified it at an out of state nursing home and the mortuary and rejected the ballot. Anddddd they said this is not unusual. Happens a few times every election.

5) Reiterating: no evidence so far there is any cheating in the recount. They are just trying to get it right. Milwaukee County has many wards that are counting and reporting partial results, planning to do their absentee ballots last. Hillary (and Trump) are losing a lot of votes in those partial results, but if ppl just read the note they would know to exclude the Milwaukee wards from daily summaries.

6) Overall results, about 100 votes delta after 1.1 million votes recounted. This is 1/1000th of 1%.

I can think of other ways to tighten things up but that's a good start.

Purple thumb dip to stop double/triple voting.

Wow, this is turning out to be a total waste of resources, but I guess that’s one of the things libs are well known for.
