With the dust now settled from the election, Democrats are looking to rebuild the political “blue wall” of traditionally Democratic upper Midwest and Great Lakes states that Republican Donald Trump captured with an appeal to white, working-class voters.
Hillary Clinton’s failure to hold key blocs of these voters helped seal Trump’s stunning electoral victory and leaves Democrats with a gaping, perhaps long-term, hole in the party’s national battle front. Trump boasted of his accomplishment at a post-election rally in Ohio.

Dust settled?
Can’t stand hearing New York radio stations pronouncing the city’s name “Knee York”. They never used to.
Well they’re off to a wonderful start: forcing a 5 million dollar recount on the people of Michigan will certainly win lots of hearts and minds.

They should continue to call all of them racists and stupid; and ignore their economic plight while lying about how good everything is. That will work.
I don’t think they can get past the felt necessity t instill fear in the population. It isn’t in them. Their own loathing has put all sorts of useful approaches psychologically off limits. The fear tactic is worn out. It is just lefties waving their arms and screaming incoherently.
Keep calling voters deplorable. That’s the ticket.
I suppose having the mirage one has created shattered would be disappointing. “Caring about the people” with ponzi schemes that will damage them more in the long run, after there architects have died (after many successful re-election campaigns) isn’t really caring.
It’s the elites occupying the D.C.—NYC—Boston corridor, the Hollywood-SF corridor, and Chicago vs. the nation.
The “she” in question is a college professor, University of Pennsylvania’s Mary Frances Berry, a self-styled “political historian”.
Her other excuse for Hillary is that she didn’t have the same ties to the working class as Bill did—but Bill is a draft-dodging career politician and disbarred lawyer, so what ties?
Pelosi and Schumer have so much in common with the Midwest. Both look down on the working folk when they fly from coast to coast with disdain.
