With the dust now settled from the election, Democrats are looking to rebuild the political blue wall of traditionally Democratic upper Midwest and Great Lakes states that Republican Donald Trump captured with an appeal to white, working-class voters.
Hillary Clintons failure to hold key blocs of these voters helped seal Trumps stunning electoral victory and leaves Democrats with a gaping, perhaps long-term, hole in the partys national battle front. Trump boasted of his accomplishment at a post-election rally in Ohio.
The president-elect crowed: We didnt break it; we shattered that sucker. We shattered it, man. That poor wall is busted up.

The change would have to be fundamental. They would have to become a party virtually 180 degrees from who they are now.
I suspect that will not happen.
And the media who sanctimoniously tell us all about it, are centered in the New York/Washington axis. In so many ways, these people are just out of touch with middle America.
Through their division identity politics the Democrats are pushing the whites closer and closer to a voting block. They always thought they could split the white vote nearly in half while winning with large majorities of the minority vote.
“...Democrats are looking to rebuild the political blue wall of traditionally Democratic upper Midwest and Great Lakes states that Republican Donald Trump captured with an appeal to white, working-class voters.”
Yeah, because nothing screams “midwestern values” like guys playing buttdarts, guys dressed up like women in women’s bathrooms, legalized weed, anit-cop, anit-military, anti-second amendment, and anti-Christian like the democrat party.
Oh dear God, please keep Pelosi and Ellison....
Yes—they have their followers and pets outside of the few axii, but that is not the same as being in touch with the residents. If Chicago ever does the way of Detroit, their best foothold inside middle America will be gone, and they will hurt the more because of it.
Too bad Las Vegas and Alexandria have expaned their electoral foothold.
Yeah, uh-huh - and led by old Lefties from the East and West Coasts. That’ll do it alright!
Calling them racists before disenfranchising them
certainly seems like an effective strategy. /s
Ummm...it ain’t gonna happen with Pajama girl demanding recounts. Try contempt.
That’s their problem in a nutshell: trying to “Reclaim” midwest voters. Maybe if they tried to win the hearts and minds of midwest voters, instead of “claiming” them they might get somewhere.
Talk about transgender bathrooms and climate change. Those are critical issues for most people outside of Washington DC.
LOL!
The Democrat party is all about elitist enclaves on the coasts, illegal immigrants, abortion on demand, homosexual activism, transgender bathrooms, Godlessness except for Allah, pampered Hollywood entertainers, and America haters.
Outside of that, welcome back regular Midwestern Americans!
YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS SHIT UP.
Perhaps the rats should consider not putting an African faggot Muslim that hates American citizens in the White House. Promoting hatred and change for America is simply a poor strategy.
Call them racist nazis.
The DNC has to come up with some ‘free stuff’ that will lure the people who are ALREADY paying for other peoples’ ‘free stuff’.
Maybe she’ll con some WORKING AMERICANS into paying for their OWN free stuff! Good luck, Nancy.
Nancy Pelosi says they don’t need to change though. Good luck.
Maybe Jill Stein can get a Federal judge to order the people to remain Democrat.
BS, Nancy.
The RATS are more clueless than I thought if the “new” face of their so-called party is Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi,
Keith Ellison, and Elizabeth Warren.
Yeah, they will excite folks in the Heartland....NOT!
Well, they just need to do a lot a rallies with emotional speeches by BLM, abortionists, queers, greens, vegans, communists and atheists. That’ll get them back on track.
