Federal officials have denied the final permits required for the Dakota Access Pipeline project in North Dakota. The Army Corps of Engineers announced Sunday it would instead conduct an environmental impact review of the 1,170-mile pipeline project to determine if there are other ways to route the pipeline to avoid a crossing on the Missouri River...

This is absolutely insane. How could any person or company invest in anything when with just a whim billions of dollars or investment is completely stopped at the last minute. It’s not just Obama that needs changing the entire federal environmental apparatchiks need to be rooted out and replaced. They have no place in our system.
Yup, for democrats, it’s necessary. Just like elections, vote counting, etc.
The USACE Final Environmental Assessment is available on this page:
After a quick perusal it seems tribes were consulted and their lands avoided.
I thought an environmental review had already taken place. Do they have to keep doing them until the results make certain people happy?
Yes. It is like a vote recount in Minnesota, when a Democrat Senatorial position is at stake.
I have no problem addressing legitimate environmental issues WHERE POSSIBLE but the left is using the system simply as a delaying tactic. It’s blind opposition to self sufficiency.
Trump can have the leaders arrested for trespassing, impeding Federal officials, etc., before announcing renewed permission for the pipeline.
Just build the wall with them on the wrong side.
Fire every single Federal employee involved on Jan. 21.
I doubt that there are any that are not Obama appointees.
More and more this has the quality of a phony baloney set-up. Maybe Obama and team want this to play out as “Trump vs. the environment.” I think when the truth wins out Trump can win this thing.
I would ask these Indians, where do they think the oil is going? It IS being pumped. It IS being shipped out, but instead of a fairly safe pipeline, it’s put in rail cars and trucks, which are much more likely to derail or get in an accident and spill the oil!
So, are they really against the oil spills, the pipeline, or just against oil altogether? How do they heat their homes in those brutally cold winters? I doubt many winter thru in a teepee with a buffalo chip fire smoldering away...
Six more weeks of the:

The undoing will be such sweet reward.
Obama gives chimps another banana (Federal officials) for obeying.
The most ironic thing is that Standing Rock Chairman Archambault owns a gas station and is making a killing selling oil products to protesters.
“...to avoid a crossing of the Missouri River...”
Doesn’t anyone at the COE own a map?
Based on the “from” and “to” points of the pipeline, I’m not sure how they think they can avoid crossing the Missouri River.
...and I guess they’ll really frank out when they realize they also need to cross the Mississippi.
Yes.
Yes they do...
At least until January 20, 2017.
Just a six week construction delay, that’s all.
Put it on hold we’ll it do after January 20th with zero delays.
I’ve been saying for years that the Indians ultimately won the Indian Wars, because the U.S. is held hostage to their interests.
“I thought an environmental review had already taken place. Do they have to keep doing them until the results make certain people happy?”
Yes.
Kinda like recounting votes until the RAT wins?
