Alt-Right is an invention of the left to attack Trump. Apparently a handful of white supremacists are using the title to get publicity. I think it’s a chicken-or-egg thing over who came first.

This might bite them in the Obama.

The term Alt-Left actually fits.

Created? No. Exaggerated? Most definitely. It would not surprise me if the total membership in the KKK now was under one thousand. Other extremist groups? I would expect a similar near extinction numbers. Look, this nation could be domestically peaceful if the political hacks weren’t raving about boogeymen.

The only alt-right guy I’ve read is voxday. Weirdly he never said anything about an alt-right movement until about a year ago. Before that he was more of a libertarian. Honestly the alt-right appears to consist mostly of trolls and people trying to get a rise out of the left rather than a movement or secret cabal.

Clueless. A day's study on the Internet would have told him all he needed to know about what has been characterized (mostly by its political enemies) is Alt-right. There's no there there, in exactly the same sense that there was no Tea Party but a very large number of Tea Partiers.

There are, in the same sense, common motivations, white racial identity being only a tiny (and easily demonized) splinter. There is certainly iconoclasm, a sense that the government establishment has its own interests and identity outside those of the electorate it is supposed to represent, has grown fat, wealthy, manipulative, greedy, detached, and deadly. And that it is still within the power of citizens sick of it to throw the thing over.

It isn't, properly speaking, left or right so much as establishment versus the citizen. Both parties have grown detached and parasitical, as evidenced by the Bernie phenomenon (though not so much by the candidate himself) as well as the Trump phenomenon. The latter prevailed, the former succumbed. And the fight isn't over - the establishment wings of both parties are due for a well-funded, screaming comeback. They may be surprised at what they find.

I have discovered that Lefties go berserk when you use the term Alt-Left on them.

I think we should use it all the time.

“Alt-right” is simply a smear campaign against those not in lockstep with Clintonite Fascism.

The term Alt-Left actually fits.

They are more the Ctrl-Left. It's all about control over the smallest minutia for them.

I noticed Hannity refers to the MSM as the Alt-Left.
He has done a tremendous job this election cycle.

Paul Joseph Watson succinctly explains the alt-right:

The term “alt-right” was invented by the far-left as a way to try to divide patriots into two groups and then to demonize the more energetic, passionate group. Classic divide and conquer.

I never heard the word "Alt-Right" (or is it two words?) until early 2016.

Reminds me of the word “macaca,” which I had never heard until the Washington Post wrote 27 front page news stories about it.

Apparently, “macaca” means “monkey” in Portuguese.

Since a lot of genetic evidence and paleontology indicate that all Homo Sapiens are related to monkeys, it would not ruffle my feathers (or my fur) if someone called me “macaca.”

Alt-Right is an invention of the left to attack Trump. Apparently a handful of white supremacists are using the title to get publicity. I think it’s a chicken-or-egg thing over who came first.

My research (not extensive) indicates Richard Spencer is a white supremacist who came up with the term "alt-right" for his fringe group.

Then liberal news media took that and applied it to Breitbart and/or all Trump supporters. Or just anyone that they felt like applying it to.

Anyone who uses the term to broadly denigrate non-liberals should be called out as someone who does not know what the alt-right is.

First repeat after their long speech: Your definition of alt-right is a lie. You don't know what alt-right is.

You may have to repeat that after each long angry interrupting speech until they say "Well, what do you say it is, then?"

At this point you get assurances that they will let you speak until your sentence is finished. If they interrupt wait until they are finished and repeat Your definition of alt-right is a lie. You don't know what alt-right is until they ask again. Then get assurances again that they will let you speak until your sentence is finished.

Keep repeating this sequence until you are allowed to say uninterrupted what "alt-right" is. Then you can say: "Alt-right" is a term used by a very small fringe group which liberal news media has applied with a ridiculous broad brush to all non-liberals. They are lying to you. You and they have no proof at all so I don't believe you or them and nothing you can say or shout will convince me. I need proof, not blatant lies.

I don’t know any alt-right people. At least none that say they are.

Recently, however I ran into about 20 of them online. I made a comment (which I rarely do) at a website I’d never seen before. The discussion revolved around Bannon, anti-Semitism and white people. I guess I was insufficiently separatist or too certain that the Holocaust was a fact. These people lit into my post with a vengeance. It was brutal. The comments were written by very “smart” people. What was missing was any sense of being American. If you’re not white, you shouldn’t be here.

If I’d plugged in different identities it would have been like reading some lefty blog. Exclusionary, entitled, identity politics at the core. And filled with self-righteous rage.

Very creepy.

I had never heard of it.

Hillary brought it up. Another Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy I guess.

The Witch lost her coronation, Barry Soerto is the reason.
