I hate shows like this, liberal or conservative, where the audience is encouraged to clap and cheer. I occasionally want to hear what the people on stage are saying, not the people who are there because they were given tickets and don’t have a job.
I went to a seminar yesterday where the first presenter started out with some liberal bromides and one very heavy and tacky woman started in with the whoops and the comments and the other stuff that drives me crazy. I caught her eye and used the same hand signal I use on my dog when I want him to stop barking. It worked!!! I then turned to the presenter and signaled her to proceed. hehehe. It was a lot of fun. whooper lady sat quietly the rest of that segment. I expected her to come over and chew me out at the break but she didn’t. It might have been because of my hot pink Christmas sweatshirt with the dachshund on it.
