I know a local DJ who won a date with Sally back in the late 60s. He said she was foul mouthed and strident.
Could their wealth detach them from the reality of the political world? I think so.

Because we don’t live in the same bubble universe you do, Sally. We live in the real world with barely enought to live on and every time a politician makes a new law or regulation it takes money or food out of our mouths and ends up in the government coffers.
Many of those of the Hollow-wood variety seem to live in bubles similar to those who live primarily in major cities on the East Coast.
Field is exhibiting Lib-mentia — unfounded anger at people who are not of her mindset.
Most of us on the opposite side were not angry when THEY elected Obama. After his first 4 years, we just could not understand why they would repeat that disaster by giving him another 4 years.
Well, she promised to put the coal miners out of work.
Then she realized she'd committed a gaffe, and tried to fix it by promising to provide government "re-training" for the miners whose jobs she and Obama destroyed.
In her arrogance she didn't understand that some working class men don't want re-training. They want to do the jobs they've traditionally done, and that are still economically viable -- if the Obama administration can be stopped from destroying them forever.
Have been standing by in fear and hope, waiting for Sally to render her opinion on the recent election..../ Poor girl. Never recovered from breakup with Burt Reynolds.

She also blasphemed God in one of her acceptance speeches IIRC.
Well, I don't know about you, but I voted for Trump because I was hoping Sally Field would leave the country.
Presumably, other Trump voters had other reasons.
