“Sovereign immunity,,,is...well established”?

Really?

Then what led our Founders to write so many paragraphs regarding Impeachment?

I jettisoned any “Liberal friends” I had long ago. Associating with a Liberal is akin to associating with a pedophile, a rapist, a thief, an adulterer or any other social malignancy. I wouldn’t hire one, either. And if found to be a Liberal after employ, they’d be fired on the spot.

“The Founders. . . endowed the office with enough of the customary sovereign powers . . . “

Please stop blowing smoke. Article II grants executive, not sovereign powers.

” Want to translate what the acronym RMH stands for?”

i’m only guessing, but Richard Milhous Nixon, peut-etre, where the “H” and the “N” are diagonal to each other on my keyboard?

The US Constitution purpose is to force govt to act transparently.

Wouldn't you say the first purpose of the Constitution is to protect the rights of citizens?

Anyone can sue anyone for anything.

The concept discussed here is generally referred to as “Sovereign Immunity.” It goes back to times where sovereigns (Kings) ruled most lands. In our federal system, there is also the issue of “can the Judiciary force the Executive to do something?” Of course it can, to some extents, with it’s roots in Marbury v. Madison.... until the Executive tells SCOTUS to “send its army to enforce its decision.” (It’s an old law school teaching point.)

In the issue you bring, the Federal Tort Claims Act might allow a family to recover from the USG, but only actual damages are allowed, not punitive, and the P would have to establish that a liability would exist against the federal employee (and/or their non-federal employer,) if he or she were not a federal employee.

(Please do not consider the above to be legal advice as I am not admitted to the Bar in your state. Always seek legal advice from a lawyer qualified in the jurisdiction in question.)
