The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

This editorial reads like it was written in the 1980’s, when Miami Vice was popular and the drug war was just getting cranked up.

The position used to be called White House Director of the Office of National Drug Control (ONDCP).

Why not go back to that name?

unnecessary and probably unconstitutional. I don’t see anything in the constitution where the feds can control drugs.

I was thinking of Chong for Drug Czar, and Cheech for DEA Administrator.

I know. That's the first thing I looked up. But you never know how long it's been since those articles have been updated.

Amen and AMEN! The FDA is partially funded BY the very group it is supposed to be watching over - the Pharmacuetical Industry (via the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA). The FDA was bad in Aslinger's time. It's worse now. They strain at a gnat and swallow a camel.
