Obama’s mistake was that he *didn’t* follow through on his Red Line. He made the US look weak, incompetent and untrustworthy all in one fell swoop.
The level of chaos in Libya today is utterly insignificant compared to that in Syria. Obama had a chance to end this. He more to the point had an obligation to end this. And he failed. When the book is written on his presidency, I honestly think of all of his foreign policy decisions, that one will be viewed as among the worst, up there with his “give Iran a bunch of money” policy.
Follow through and attack Assad and Syrian government forces fighting against jihadis seeking to turn Syria into a Islamist hellhole?? The US, Gulfies, Western European powers and Israel have been backing the Islamists. Sorry, I side with the Christians. Especially the Christians of Syria who support a secular Assad government overwhelmingly.
