This does strike me as a rather unusual cause for veterans to take up. It sounds to me more like a bunch of leftists claiming to be veterans.

Read that the NA complained because a bunch of hippie, liberal types were showing up and making a mess if the place. One hippie that went out there was Jill “look at me” Stein.

Some veterans are leftist. Not many, but some. All it takes is two and they will say veterans are building a shelter. Don’t assume there are many or that veterans in general are against this pipeline.

It’s not an Indian thing either. The Indians would love for the pipeline to go through their land so they could charge a fee. But its going around their land, so no fee. Republicans who own the refiners or pipelines or wells like the pipeline. Also unions like it. But democrats who own the trains and some oil companies who want the price of oil to go up, don’t like it. This pipeline skirts both the Indians and Warren Buffett’s state of Nebraska. Warren is the real bad guy here. He has been stopping this pipeline from the beginning so his trains can transport the oil.

This is not about the environment. The oil will be drilled and burned either way. Its not about spiritual land. The Indians actually want the oil on their land to charge fees. Its about the billionaires. One billionaire wants the easy cheap pipeline. The other wants the train monopoly. That’s all it is. And there are land owners everywhere who win or lose depending on the route this pipeline takes.

I am mildly for the pipeline because its the right thing to do. But this is not a voting issue. Its someone else’s fight.
