Sadly, there are likely more who perished who’s bodies haven’t been discovered. Lots of pets and wildlife, too.
I drove past a little roadside fire once and could feel the heat immediately. That was the first thing I though of watching the videos the other day of people trying to find a road out.
Yes, the article talks about a victim who rode away from the fires and who tried to put their hand on the car window but couldn’t hold it there because it was too hot.
Just terrifying to think of trying to get out of the burning Village! I don’t think the Gatlinburg residents EVER believed something like this could happen.
Pets are not usually mentioned when the LSM talking heads tell you stuff.
Not all had their homes or businesses burned down, they just lost their jobs because of the lost businesses. My sis, husband who is near late stage MD close to 60 will have a hard time finding jobs, their daughter will be able to eventually. Meanwhile they need income, health ins. MD doc’s are cheap. And they have always lived pay check to pay check. Neither have more than a HS education. And if Mike falls he can’t get up. He drove the golf cart that shuttled the employees from their parking lot up to West-Gate Resort.
All are having breathing issues now.
Likely that's why they are keeping people out for the time being.
They don't need civilians finding bodies of their families.
They probably want to clear the dead out first before letting people sift through the rubble of their homes.
How tragic.
