I’m perplexed that you should not get it.
If Trump offered Carrier targeted benefits that are not available to every corporate person, then he just became what he loathes.

Pretty sure we are talking about companies that are moving out of the country. Not all companies.

You got to start somewhere.

I am perplexed in your all or nothing stance.

Trump didn’t offer them anything that wasn’t offered to every other corporation in America.

The incentives were offered by the state and those were offered early on, long before Trump entered the picture. What Trump offered is to get rid of obnoxious regulations (same thing he has been offering EVERY SINGLE COMPANY since the start of his run, and tax cuts. The same tax cuts that he has offered corporations AND the people since the start.

What Trump did was pick up the phone and work the deal. Made in America is going to be a big thing going forward, at least for the next 8 years.

That “If” in your second sentence is what’s being ignored. People are treating her statement as if she used the word “Since”.

I looked at this as a stop-go measure until they could officially lower the corporate tax burden and deregulate once in office.

Exactly right. We don't know what this "deal" includes, if anything. For all anyone knows, Trump and Pence sat down with Carrier's executive leadership and explained the policy changes his administration would be executing and that was enough to keep those Carrier jobs onshore.

It is the LYING LIBERAL LAMESTREAM MEDIA that's calling this more crony capitalism. The same LYING LIBERAL LAMESTREAM MEDIA that was completely in the bag for Shrillary Rotten Clinton and manipulated opinion polls to make it appear she was winning.

Funny how some here on FR choose to believe the lying liberal media headlines now, when they (rightfully) knew the media was lying during the campaign.

Everyone needs to chill and let the facts come out before jumping to conclusions.

She is right. And I think Trump needs to say publicly that what Carrier was offered is what all companies will receive. Period. Some sort of generic benefit from staying.
