Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass. will once again fly the American flag on campus, at full-staff, administrators announced Friday.
The announcement reverses a decision to remove the flag that made the school a subject of protest and ridicule for the past two weeks.
Hampshire initially placed its on-campus flag at half staff following President-elect Donald Trump’s surprise victory in the election. But several student activists agitated for the flag to be removed entirely, saying it represented oppressive forces like the police and the U.S. military.
Then, the night before Veterans Day, an unknown person took down the flag and burned it. The school put another flag up for Veterans Day, but a few days later announced it was taking the flag down indefinitely. At the time, president Jonathan Lash said he hoped removing the flag would encouraged students to focus on more important issues like fighting against racism and anti-gay rhetoric. . .

I love it when these stories about our “institutes of higher learning” hit the news. Now, from one glance at a resume, I know who NOT to hire.

Hampshire “college” is an indoctrination machine that has little to do with education.You could call it Hampshire Madrassa, but hardly a college.
It surprises me to no end that anyone would pay money to be subjected to 4 years of leftist indoctrination. They do not offer education as anyone would reasonably know it. They will change or they will become dinosaurs relegated to the dust bin of history.

One example of his idiocy is claiming the “controversy” has been a valuable lesson on the First Amendment. The amendment refers to Congress, not his sorry rear end. These people are so sickening, it takes every ounce of restraint and faith in the Word of my Savior to not seek their complete destruction and elimination from the gene pool.

I hear Hampshire doesn't have grading for any of their courses. Students and faculty just sit around navel gazing and griping about the lack of marxism in the US then they give them degrees.

Yes, socialism does that to colleges. Burlington College made a huge mistake making Jane Sanders its president.
It could have survived as an International school, edcuation students from such places as South Korea who wanted to learn English. She took the college out of the free market and turned it into an indoctrination place for the left.
It went tits up. So will Hampshire College.
Today’s coming generations will seek education in tech and rebuilding infrastructure fields of endeavor, such as power line maintenance and construction, and other trades. No longer will they be hoodwinked into 4 years of indoctrination.They will get on with their lives early, marry younger, and make America great again.
Places like Hampshire college will soon be empty.
