Mr. Harmon paid the $1, but control went to Barry Diller upon Harmon’s death. Newsweek was sold to IBT, and allegedly resumed print format, but I’ve never seen a copy.
When Newsweek joined Daily Beast in digital format, they gave me Time to fill out my subscription time. I’ve never heard from Newsweek since.

I took the trouble to scan the text of the lead article, namely:

This is SO badly written, with such incorrect punctuation and capitalization that I find it hard to believe that it is real.
If real, the breath and depth of the lies contained therein are breath-taking, and go a long way to explain the rioting and wailing of the brainwashed youngsters on the alt-left.

Don’t watch much news on TV, but I’ve seen several clips of this Carlson guy. Kinda like him. He’s actually willing to take it to the talking heads in a way that is respectful, yet firm, and generally doesn’t let them divert him, unlike so many others.
I actually applaud the News Weak guy for apologizing and being honest.

I did, because I have a copy, and it looked like an ignorant 15 year old social justice warrior wrote it, complete with bad punctuation, bad capitalization, and nearly non-existent grammar, thus written by a SJW that flunked junior high school English. No way would Newsweek treat their precious propaganda so cavalierly.
Carlson started the segment by noting that he and Cooper were old friends, which sounds plausible.
I remember seeing Matt Cooper on tv back in the '90s. At that time he looked too young to be editor of anything but a college newspaper or "alternative" [leftist] rag.
Interesting how Matt Cooper has aged so badly, while Tucker Carlson looks the same as he did 20 years ago.
