” It IS crony capitalism and I hope he doesn’t do it again.”

I don’t see crony capitalism at all. Trump has said many times that moving companies out of the US would be painful.
When you look a CEO in the eye and say I can’t stop you from moving your company but here’s what I can do. I’ll remove any tax advantages given by this move with a tariff tax putting you in a worse position than you are now. At that point the CEO has 2 choices, call or fold. Sweeten the pot with a lower corporate tax, a lower capitol gains and dividends tax and you have the winning hand. No crony capitalism here! Trump is just doing what he’s been saying he’d do all along, Carrier just happen to be the first.

It does not matter what you call it. But crony capitalism is when a PARTICULAR industry owned by DONORS/FRIENDS is favored. Excellent example is SOLYNDRA by Obama regime.

Trump favors ANY and ALL manufacturing to remain in USA. The $7 million tax incentive is bargain of century considering it creates $50-65 million payroll EVERY YEAR.

Economists claim that $1 in manufacturing payroll creates $6 in peripheral economic activity.
