Like you Sarah but you are wrong on this point.

Carrier will get 7 million dollars in savings over 10 years to save 1000 plus American jobs.

That boils down to $700 an employee per year, or $2 a day or .25 cents an hour.

AT THE VERY SAME TIME... Carrier will be investing over 16 million dollars (2 TIMES AS MUCH AS THEY ARE SAVING) in the U.S. Economy.

Like you enlightened1, but why not simply create a business environment that is helpful to EVERY business, and not pick winners and losers?

She is completely correct that this is indeed crony capitalism. When favored companies get tax dollars, they are tax dollars taken from others—so those who aren’t favored get a double whammy.

Any business could claim special tax breaks by your logic, but that’s the thing about special tax breaks—they only go to the “winners” chosen by the pols in office.
