IMHO, this is a coordinated effort to bypass the Electoral College.
- They only want to count the blue states that turned red -- the ones Hillary was supposed to win.
- I suspect the HFA campaign asked Jill Stein to initiate the recount effort. Jill has nothing to gain except for the $$$, she will never recover enough Green votes to be significant.
- States undertaking hand recounts may not be ready to certify before 19 December.
- Meanwhile, efforts continue to try to swing faithless electors to vote for Hillary.
And Pennsylvania could sink this whole strategy.
As it stands, PA, MI and WI have a combined total of 46 EVs. Subtracting that from Trump's earned total of 306 leaves 260, election goes to the US Congress.
Assumimg PA refuses to recount, throw Pennsy's 20 votes back in, Trump keeps 280. Done.
Am I missing anything here?
