Senator, another fundamental principle of our democracy is accepting the results of an election after you concede...

Dear Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.):

Nobody cares what you think. You are in the minority.

Talk to Harry Reid.

Below is the job description for the Secretary of Defense. I’m not sure I understand the logic of the requirement for a waiver as the SOD does not, apparently, exercise direct command. It’s a policy and management job.

“Civilian control of our military is a fundamental principle of American democracy”

Dear Moron,

He is retired.

I don't really have a problem with her doing this. The mandatory retirement period was written into law for a reason, so there ought to be a really good reason to waive it.

There's nothing outlandish about a member of Congress who thinks "Donald Trump wants to nominate James Mattis" isn't a good enough reason.

Thanks to the Harry Reid Rule (Nuclear Option), no one cares what the Democrats think any more about nominations.

They gave her the torch to carry. It’s a trial run to see if she’s the next potential First Female.

“Civilian control of our military is a fundamental principle of American democracy, and I will not vote for an exception to this rule.”

As far as I'm concerned, the civilian control of the military rests with the Commander in Chief, not the Defense Secretary.

Not surprising but she isn’t going to get a lot of support.
