An Pennsylvania has more dry gas than that.

It is meant to shut down commerce in the US and throttle development.

Their motives are not stupidity. They are evil.

What they really need to do is figure out a way to capture all the gas they have to burn off. And not the way Cali does it.

So the clowns who tried their damndest to keep in the ground now want weigh in who it should be sold to. Just a ploy to keep the gas at artificially low prices.

They will find some sympathetic ears on this forums. The gas was found on private property and its extraction was paid by private individuals. It is their gas not “our” gas. The owners of the gas should be able to sell to whoever they wish at whatever price they agree to. Even if that means some of us will have to pay more maybe a lot more.

As of the end of 2011, 150 × 109 cubic meters (5.3 × 1012 cubic feet) of associated gas are flared annually. That is equivalent to about 25 per cent of the annual natural gas consumption in the United States or about 30 per cent of the annual gas consumption in the European Union.

If it were to reach market, this quantity of gas (at a nominal value of $5.62 per 1000 cubic feet) would be worth $29.8 billion USD.[

Yea, right, five million manufacturing jobs will be created just by not exporting natural gas. Lol. If that was the case, why weren’t all these jobs created before we were allowed to export it?

If people have jobs and lower taxes they won’t care about an increase in heating. Just like the argument that we need illegals because the price of lettuce will go up.

The people suffering winter spot-pricing for NG suffer from insufficient NG pipeline capacity. There is more than enough gas / liquids to support demand.
