H.R.6393, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, passed in the House of Representatives on November 30.

The legislation deals with a number of intelligence-related issues, including Russian propaganda, or what the government calls propaganda.

Section 501 calls for the government to counter “measures by Russia to exert covert influence … carried out in coordination with, or at the behest of, political leaders or the security services of the Russian Federation and the role of the Russian Federation has been hidden or not acknowledged publicly.”

Recently the State Department shut down the tiny Counter-Disinformation Team and any efforts by the Obama administration to resist Putin’s propaganda can now be considered dead before birth. Intelligence Community sources tell me that it was closed out of a deep desire inside the White House “not to upset the Russians.”

They are now experiencing their blowback. The current adversaries of Kremlin are predominantly one-time boomer left(or 68ers in Europe.) They are still hard-core left in many issues, but also work to upend Russia.

They can't control children they helped to raise.
