Because the children of the founders of great businesses were for the most part coddled and supported, schooled in the liberal institutions, and smothered in fake praise despite their lack of personal accomplishment.
Power tends to corrupt. Spoiled kids reject God and do that which is right in their own eyes. They all fall in the ditch together.

My guess is the Left is more likely to make a visually negative scene, therefore they are pandered to. Like muslims or blacks, they break stuff when things don’t go their way.
It's protection money.
In recent times, the ruling media class held power over the leaders of these corporations, threatening to destroying them with bad press if they didn’t align with the brave new world.
It will take a while before some of them realise the Trump Revolution has overthrown the Mainstream Media and that they are now the lamestream media. Some will try to resist of course.
