I think you missed my point.

There's no way to "stumble up Michigan's vote in the Electoral College" just by endlessly demanding recounts. If endless recounts are all it takes to cancel a state's electoral votes, we never would have had a presidential election in this country.

The State of Michigan will certify its electors regardless of what Jill Stein and her delusional supporters are doing.

The only ones that I have seen going rogue are Clinton electors basically saying, “I am going to pick up my toys and go home,” because they don’t like the results.

I love movie quotes. I was wondering if anyone would get that one.

The LSM is trying to create a stampede of stupidity.

Electors are not going rogue. The fakenews stories about the 7 "Hamilton electors" are all about electors in blue states. Those states are already committed to the hildabeast electorially. They never were supporting Trump.

As far as #2 and #3...

“...It would take a 3-1 vote by the evenly divided board of two Democrats and two Republicans to stop the recount.

But the elections panel, which has scheduled a 9:30 a.m. Friday hearing in Lansing on Trump’s objection, has a long history of deadlocking on highly partisan issues. A 2-2 deadlock vote would cause the recount to go forward after two business days, likely starting Wednesday.”

So Stein will get her recount because Dems on the board vote for her to get it, regardless of whether she is actually aggrieved or the count would be changed.
A court could reverse the Board’s decision, but the Board has very broad authority.

“.... Why is Jill Stein, who got about 1% of the vote, allowed to request a recount which can never result in her winning g the election??”...

Personally, I believe the recount is being pushed by Clinton and using an agreement made between themselves and Stein’s camp. Clinton is the one who came closest to Trump and doing a recount MAY show she gained more votes (most likely illegal votes) that MAY put the “Pants Suit Hag” into the winners column. Hitlary jumped on the recount band wagon AFTER Stein initiated the recount fiasco so she would appear somewhat “neutral” but a hopeful winner. Tin hat theory perhaps but nothing I would put past the Clinton’s .

If she was really interested in the "integrity", she would also challenge NH and Minnesota... Why is she solely challenging the states won by Trump?

She's a disgraceful lying hypocrite.

The recount effort is not about winning the election. Flipping one of these states (WI, MI, PA) is a pure fantasy. Flipping all three of them is laughable. And that's what would have to happen.

This is about planting the seeds of grievance in the minds of liberal moonbats, who will nurse their fears that the election was "stolen" for four years.

All the D's have left are these liberal idiots. They've got to hang on to them.

For the tenth time, no, it doesn’t work that way.

The U.S. Constituion empowers state legislators to approve/name/certify a slate of electors. PERIOD.

Whether there is a count, a recount, Count Dracula, it DOESN’T MATTER. I’m sure the state of Michigan’s constitution similarly has a phrase, as do all states that I know.

If this is “tied up,” the electors are selected, vote, Trump is president. Stop the hysterics.

I would add:
require an on line portal to allow a registered voter to
review how their vote was tabulated in order to confirm who and what they voted for.
If one can go on line to look up social security using your
ssn then one should be able to look up their voting status and record using a voter id!

If the re-count has officially started because of the Stein maneuver, then the count gets delayed past when the count can be completed, the electors cannot vote when the electoral college meets. This disenfranchises every, single voter in the entire state.
That would disenfranchise the State of Michigan (not the voters, the State). The dirty little secret is that the United States elect (not elects) the POTUS. The states “appoint” Electors to cast ballots for POTUS; traditionally the states appoint all of their Electors according to a single popular election. All except Nebraska and Maine, which each appoint only two of their Electors according to that rule, and appoint another Elector according to the winner of the popular election in each Congressional District.

“Everyone knows” that the people elect the POTUS - except that they don’t. THE STATES elect the POTUS, by appointing the Electors. By tradition the states choose popular election to appoint their Electors. But that is a state decision, and Nebraska and Maine do that a little differently than the others.

It is up to the State of Michigan to protect its own franchise. State laws, I am confident, were never written to allow the State to default in its “appointment” process. And I am therefore confident that the courts in Michigan will find a way to conclude the “voting” (as Bill Clinton freudian-slipped in alluding to the recounts in Florida in 2000) in time for Electors to be appointed in time to cast ballots on December 19.

(IANAL)

All this noise about recounts is intended to cloud the legitimacy of the Trump Administration. Mr. Trump however is not sitting on his hands but is making executive decisions and has jawboned Carrier into keeping some jobs in Indiana which had been slated to go to Mexico. The more he establishes in the public mind that he will be an effective POTUS, the more difficult that delegitimating effort will become.

In reality Trump is not a conventional Republican, and the parties could experience a possibly salutary shakeup due to his administration. Back when he made to sexist comment that Hillary tried to ride to the White House, Trump was a Democrat!. His appointments have been very good, and his list of SCOTUS candidates is by all accounts excellent. But I’m quite certain that he will do some things that make me cringe. But there it is . . .

Yes, ultimately the State Legislatures of all three states are controlled by Republicans who will cast their EV’s for Trump.

This is what the Left is angling for, as then they can scream “Selected, Not Elected!” for the next four years.

And the answer to that is, “It only works if you let it work like Bush did for eight years.” If you say, “FU” and move on, . . . WINNING.
