Trump Team Moves To Block Pennsylvania Recount

Attorneys for President-elect Donald Trump have moved to block the vote recount in Pennsylvania, adding to complaints filed to stop similar proceedings in Michigan and Wisconsin.

“Despite being no more than a blip on the electoral radar, Stein has now commandeered Pennsylvania’s electoral process, with an eye toward doing the same to the Electoral College,” the complaint filed Thursday states.

“There is no evidence — or even an allegation — that any tampering with Pennsylvania’s voting systems actually occurred.”

The filing comes on the heels of the Trump camp’s complaint reported earlier Thursday in Michigan dismissing Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s claims of impropriety during the 2016 presidential race, and a day after the the Wisconsin Republican Party logged a complaint with the Federal Election Committee arguing that Stein was seeking to benefit Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton.

Stein rejected the president-elect’s efforts as “outrageous” Thursday. “The recount in Michigan, which has been driven by an outpouring of grassroots support in the state — will go forward,” she said in a statement.

“The Michigan Board of State Canvassers and Director of Elections has been a model of professionalism in moving this recount forward in an efficient, transparent manner. Yet the Trump campaign’s cynical efforts to delay the recount and create unnecessary costs for taxpayers are shameful and outrageous.”

“As has been stated many times, they know they can’t overturn the results of the election.”

I have no doubt they are absolutely trying to overturn the election.

Do all the recounting they want as long as it stops in time to certify the state’s vote before the electoral college vote. Attempting to deprive a state from participating in the college with frivolous recounts should be a federal crime and I can’t see any judge going for that crap.

The problem with just do the recounts is it is costing the Trump campaign and the Republican party millions to have lawyers and observers on hand. Plus in Michigan and Pennsylvania it's costing millions of taxpayer dollars.

The nerve of Stein to condemn Trump in terms that perfectly describe what she herself is doing! Her mentor Hillary has taught her well.

Perhaps people imagined that there would be no downside to Trump’s non-political background. It now appears that Trump has relied too heavily on the pansy RNC and Reince Priebus.

I doubt either of those negatives are going to make a difference in these ‘recounts’, but Trump does apparently need to get a legal team with *political* expertise loyal to him personally. President Trump will face constant legal swarming attacks that Obama never had to face.

A state’s electors cannot be construed as appointed as long as the outcome of that state’s process is in doubt.

I would like to see some Trump supporters file lawsuits that seek to confirm “suspicions” that Jill Stein’s lawsuits are basically “dirty tricks” financed by Russia — even though there is no “hard evidence” of that. At least, not yet.

I would like to know:

Who has provided the funds to pay for the “recounts”?

Who is ultimately funding those layers of “shell” entities? Soros? Russia?

Is Jill Stein diverting any of the “recount” funds to her personal Swiss bank account?

Has Jill Stein registered as a Foreign Agent? Why not?

This could all circle back to Bush v. Gore, and the precedent set by SCOTUS that these endless recounts violate Trump’s rights under the 14th. Amendment.

Though the Left would likely count any ruling that links Trump to that case as a propaganda win.

Not if she dies in FEDERAL PRISON.

“YES. They need to challenge CA.”

And VA and NH. CO and NV might be worth taking a look at as well.

That is what will be up to the house of Representatives to decide. A house that could combine Democrats and never Trumpers to form a majority.

Pennsylvania is run by Democrats, who incessantly insist that elections are trustworthy and fraud-free. Now, not so much?

Which seven states with Republican Congressional delegations would not vote for the GOP candidate?

Pennsylvania is run by Democrats,

Our Legislature is firmly Republican. If push comes to shove they'll cast the EV's for Trump.

Trump's victory here has rocked both sides of the aisle in Harrisburg. They are all deathly afraid to cross him now.

“These attorneys are simply not of the same caliber as Bush’s Florida attorneys were in 2000!!”

Puleeze. This is an entirely different situation than 2000. What nonsense.
