To me he's the wrong person at any time. Shame on his district for sending a racist to Congress. However unlike Alan I do recognize he represents the rapidly growing new "progressive" core of the Democrat Party. Alan's attempts to sound a warning seem to be falling on deaf ears. Most of the criticism of Ellison's emergence seems to come from conservatives, not concerned Democrats.

I think he is a perfect reflection of the totalitarian leftist direction of the dems.

So he could be a good choice.
