Washington was a General of the United States Army and a United States President.

Eisenhower was a General of the United States Army and a United States President.

And let's not forget Ulysses S. Grant, General of the United States Army and a United States President.

How about Andrew Jackson, a General and US President, Teddy Roosevelt also comes to mind along with San Juan Hill and his stint in the White House. Any others?
