The news keeps getting worse for Anthony D. Weiner.
Mr. Weiner, the disgraced former congressman whose lewd text message exchanges with a teenager spurred new federal scrutiny of Hillary Clintons emails in the final days of the presidential campaign, was fined $65,000 on Thursday by New York Citys Campaign Finance Board for violations during his failed bid for mayor in 2013.
Mr. Weiners campaign, which raised and spent millions stretching back to the 2009 race when he first made a run for mayor, is also required to return its remaining balance of $195,000, which the board said was unspent public matching funds.
Among the violations committed by Mr. Weiners campaign, according to the board: using campaign funds to pay for two cellphones, including the personal phone used by Mr. Weiner from May to September 2013, the height of his Democratic primary campaign.
It was during that period that new revelations of sexually explicit text messages and photographs, sent to women after he had left Congress, came to light and derailed Mr. Weiners bid for mayor, which had been gaining momentum partially based on the notion that he had moved beyond his lewd messaging.

Weiner gets spanked.
dumb liberal (but then i repeat myself)
I don’t follow these people closely, but as far as I know both Huma and Carlos Danger have incomes just north of $100,000 — not shabby but not rich.
And yet they live in elite neighborhoods, live a supremely cushy lifestyle, and will probably absorb $250,000 in fines with a shrug.
Most peculiar.
‘Most peculiar.’
Yep. And if you or I tried to claim ‘used underwear’ on our income tax forms, we’d be in JAIL before sunrise.
But, I kind of LIKE knowing that my Soul was never for sale, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be happy not looking over my shoulder for-ever wondering when Hillary!’s thugs will snuff me out!
The ex wife wasn’t ex then, so she gets to suck that up with him.
Not really..if the Clinton Foundation kicks in a few bucks for "miscellaneous" expenses its amazing the life style you can live....
NY Dems, at least your Weiner campaign money did result in Real Palpable Results (if only in his pants).
Maybe you don’t know that the Clinton Foundation also has a charity helping the downtrodden congresspeople with their hefty legal fines.
I reckon the day is coming when he’ll have to get a real job after Huma pitches him out. I don’t think Congress is hiring...
I guess the MB pays well.
It would appear that Mr. Dick has stepped on his own wiener yet again.
Remember, we are talking about leftists here.
