A teenager from Washington state has become the seventh "faithless elector" to protest Donald Trump's election as president of the United States.

Instead, they plan to vote for a "responsible Republican alternative". Yes, a Republican. Maybe Jeb! will pick up a few electoral votes after all.

What's the big deal about an elector from a state that voted for the losing candidate casting a vote for "None of the Above?"
Didn’t Hillary win Washington State? So this publicity-hungry fool is not going to cast his vote per the election for Hillary. He wants to cast it for a “responsible Republican”? OK. Hillary is now at 231 electoral votes. So what?
Correct me if I am wrong...if they are “faithless” from Washington State.... that would mean they would be required to vote for Hillary..... so what purpose do they serve.... to sway Republican Electors to break from Trump....ok, hillary won’t be President, but let’s prevent Trump too....are they trying to insight Civil War....and why the hell is there a 19 year serving as an elector???
These faithless electors or “Hamilton whatevers” are all Democrats, so it really is a pointless exercise.

Bingo! It’s a lie. Bad for Hillary being spun as bad for Trump. Are any of these “7 faithless electors” from states Trump won?
1 less electoral vote for Clinton is what I would consider another win for Trump.
All seven “faithless” electors so far come from states won by Hillary. Fake news.
The elector probably needs to know that she will “cost” Hillary some more EV since Hillary won Washington State. She said “I promised those who elected me that I would do everything I could to keep Donald Trump out of office.” I guess it’s the new Common Core math - don’t vote for Hillary (in a state she won) and that takes away votes for Trump. Oh well !

So far they are all Democrats, so there is no point, except to increase Trump’s margin in the electoral college.
The kid is a CLINTON ELECTOR!! He is protesting by not casting his vote for Clinto and does not hurt Trump at all. As far as I know Trump has lost just twovElectors while Clinton lost 4 and none of the votes switched went from one candidate to the other.
None. And that's what makes this thing so odd. The "faithless elector" is a Hillary delegate. She says she will not vote for Hillary, but instead will vote for some yet-unnamed Republican.
Sounds like some combination of a scam, a publicity stunt, and a hippie daydream.
So far all these people are Democrat electors. They must want their 15 minutes.
What in the eff do these democrat electors think they’re going to accomplish? The only anti-Trump GOP elector has been replaced. They’re not going to change minds, if that’s what they “think” is going to happen.
Don’t people understand how the electoral system works? States elect a slate of electors that will support a given candidate. So states that Trump did not win selected electors that would never have voted for Trump anyways!
What next — faithless electors from Madagascar? :-P
