My friend who participated in the WI judge recount, said that the opportunity for fraud comes with ‘spoiled ballots’.

Ballots are unsealed and refed into the counting machine. If any ballot is bent, a new one is filled out and fed into the the machine and the old one is destroyed. A recount increases the handling of ballots which can render some of them spoiled or someone can intentionally spoil ballots and fill them out, feed them through the machine before they reseal them.

Here’s a gem from the DUmp, poor progs starting to emerge from safe spaces in search of cocoa and blankies...

“Recount began this AM in WI and I was doing so well

I have been so hopeful and not crying anymore. Well, I stayed late at the gym. 5:30-9AM and Kate, who I have not seen since the election, comes in and greets me and just starts bawling. I did not need that. She said Jody this is the end. We cannot be naive. This is how it started in Germany. I said I am grabbing onto any shred of hope like the recounts and audits and college that he will never make it into the WH. She replied he is in for good. We have to face it. So, now I feel like maybe I am a dope??? She said there are no heroes anymore... that is true. A stupid and uninformed electorate have given us this man. I took a few steps backwards and it doesn’t feel good. Kate and I are both firebrands in our city. We eat breathe and sleep politics. To see her so defeated like I was for 2 weeks leaves me shaky again.”

One would think the state would deny a recount when the only possible result is fraud. If a recount can not affect the requestor’s status, why do it?

See my post #96. It describes the details of the only three situations where a recount changed the victor of an election in the United States. The fraud is far more easier to do before and during the original vote and is infinitely likelier to take place then instead of the recount.

Thank you. If the Justice Department in pursuit of law enforcement seeks local cooperation in a criminal apprehension and ANYONE obstructs or interferes with criminal investigation— goes to jail.
18 USC sec 1519 “Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsified, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States or any case filed under Title 11, or in relation to or contemplation of any such matter or case, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.”

These mayors need to lawyer up!!

The Wisconsin Elections Commission will be posting recount results each day based on reports received from county clerks. The Commission plans to post results by midday, depending upon time required to compile reports provided by the counties. Menominee County has concluded its Recount for President, and its numbers are included in the spreadsheet. The minutes of each county board of canvassers will include an explanation of any change of 10 or more votes in a reporting unit.
This is the explanation provided by the Menominee County Clerk for the differences in numbers between the canvass and the recount:
Johnson/Weld -- different by 12 due to human error. Didn’t get added to our tally sheet. Stein/Baraka -- different by 17 due to human error. Wards 1,3,4,5 didn’t get added to tally sheet...

Jill is right. They forgot to include her in the one county. A whole 17 votes. Net count Trump -2 Hillary -1 Hillary nets 1 vote.

Apparently several counties decided to go the hand-count method AFTER submitting their estimates to the state election board for machine recounting, no doubt as a means of injecting additional Jill Stein money into their local economies. I say kudos for their entrepreneurship!

Artisanal, small batch, hand counted votes. It’s a bit more money, but worth it!

If any ballot is bent, a new one is filled out and fed into the the machine and the old one is destroyed.

I don't know how they do it in your friend's district, but at the one I worked at, after creating a new ballot, the spoiled one was torn in half and saved in a special envelope. It was also recorded in the log, so that even the spoiled ballots could be audited if need be.

I wonder if Jill and Hill will call for a nation recount because they are so concerned about accurate voting results!

If this was being done in the name of accuracy, Crazy Jill would be pushing for recounts in all states where the votes were close, including NH and MN where Hillary won by small margins (or while we're on the subject, if it's about accuracy, shouldn't they be recounting in all states, regardless of margin). The fact that she's only pushing for recounts in those states where Trump won by a narrow margin makes Hillary puppet Stein's real agenda transparent.

I just don't get the thinking that hand counting is more accurate than machine counting. Why did we even bother inventing calculators and computers?

If everyone followed the directions, it wouldn't be. But in every election, there are people who write in their candidate even if they're already on the ballot, or circle the name instead of filling in the dot, etc. An honest recounter would catch these.

A dishonest recounter? God knows what they do.

I have downloaded the day 2 Recount spreadsheet and examined it.

There are wards with huge variance . . . recount vs election day, and most are in Milwaukee. But this is not yet a source of concern because the board of elections gave a heads up on the page that Milwaukee would recount their absentees last — and all the huge variance is to have lower vote totals in the spreadsheet so far, for both Trump and Hillary.

In other words, for Milwaukee we don’t have any useable data yet.

For other counties, there is a lot of data, and a first glance look shows very tiny variance across the state.

Typed that too quickly.

Milwaukee County’s wards are showing huge variance in recount vs election day count. All the variance is to have lower vote totals for today’s recount vs election day (night’s) count. There is a notation saying Milwaukee will do their absentees last, so this lower total for both Trump and Hillary is because absentees are not included in their numbers yet.

The other counties are making what looks like fast progress. Variance in recount total vs election day is small.

Note Cudahy city of Milwaukee County did apparently choose to NOT do absentees last. They report numbers with tiny variance today vs election day.

Just like election night the Browards and Durhams hang back waiting to see what they need. This is why they slow walk and hand count in the first place, to insure last reporting. And they can see whats needed against the other districts, manuf. votes via absentees. Just like PA yesterday with net 22,000 out of thin air. Whats the margin in WI 27,000 ... about a one day swing in PA

And a last item . . . I know people want to know who gained what . . . net.

The damn spreadsheet is alphabetical so Milwaukee’s zillion wards are right in the middle of it.

Not easy to exclude it to add them up. They are all, visually, +1 or +2 Hillary or Trump and not all going to one of the other. It could conceivably be a net 0 for this day 2 activity.

That’s the relevant tweet thread for the Milwaukee count. Note the libs scream Hillary is losing 1000s of votes, but Trump is too, because the data is incomplete, without absentees, for Milwaukee.

Exclude the incomplete Milwaukee data and we have Trump +4 and Clinton -3 with 11.3% of votes recounted (~330k)

And more

Heavy Clinton wards in Milwaukee who HAVE complete (incl absentees) on their spreadsheet entries.

Village of Brown Deer, Milwaukee county. Looks clean to me. Total of 6000ish votes recounted. Looks like a 2:1 Clinton ratio in that area. Net change out of 6000 recounted — Trump -1, Clinton +1. She nets two out of 6000 votes in a heavy Clinton area — saying a single ballot was misread or misentered election day. Looks like honest people there.

Village of Bayside, Milwaukee county, heavy Clinton area. Looks like 7000ish votes recounted, Trump +0, Hillary -1. Net Clinton -1. Looks like a Clinton +20% area.

Good job — but go back and be careful, some Milwaukee areas are not incomplete and some . . . are weird.

But good job nonetheless.

I’m not a statistician - but as more and more of recount is complete - the discrepancy to the original count behaves similar to a ‘random walk model’ Infrequent but small adjustments are made in each direction which for most part cancel each other out. The final discrepancy never strays far from the starting point.

Perhaps someone with college statistics could speak to that.
