Russia's space agency says an unmanned cargo space ship that blasted off to the International Space Station has crashed due to an unspecified malfunction.

Roscosmos says in a statement Thursday that the Progress MS-04 cargo craft crashed at the altitude of 190 kilometers (118 miles) over the remote Russian Tyva region that borders Mongolia. It says most of the space ship's debris burnt as it entered the atmosphere.

... Crashed? Into what at 119 miles up?

Maybe it is a translation error and it lost control or, huh, exploded?

crashed at the altitude of 190 kilometers (118 miles)

That's pretty hard to do...............usually aircraft crash at an altitude of 0............

I think 119 miles is about right for it to blow up when it ‘crashed’ back into the atmosphere.

When your computer crashes....It doesn't mean it fell of the desk.

Not really too hard to figure out their wording.

“Crashed? Into what at 119 miles up?”

At that speed, the atmosphere.

Kinda like belly-flopping onto water from the Golden Gate Bridge. Like concrete at that speed & surface area.

Now wait a minute, are they saying the rocket crashed 190 kilometers up in the sky? I know the Tuva district has mountains, but none are that high.
