I am thrilled Trump is going to be president. But this is indeed a bad corporatist path. Favored and squealing companies get special government favors that give them an advantage o er theor competitors.
I am from CT where this has become unfortunately routine.
How many jobs have you saved, Bernie? You couldn’t care less if they lost their jobs as long as you got your damn tax!
Bernie certainly knows the carrot approach, first, use of a jet, a car, then a waterfront 3rd home. Congrats Bernie in catching up to the carrot.

Don’t forget to run a 2016 IRS audit on Bernie to make sure he shows that under-the-table pay off from Hillary as taxable income.

Trump should make Bernie Ambassador to North Korea, he'd fit right in, then ship him there, whether Bernie wants the job or not.
If they are still off-shoring a thousand jobs, they would probably still face the tariff on those units.

On the other hand, while threatening companies that offshore with tariffs, Trump has always promised to eliminate the regs and taxes that drove them offshore in the first place. I believe he will do that.
Corporations move for cheap labor. That's it. The ONLY reason. The complaining about taxes and regs is just political cover.

A trade policy with tariffs is like a gun without bullets.
Do we know that Carrier is getting special favors? If they are getting tax and regulatory relief, is everybody getting it or just them?
Sometimes it's better not to take the bait -- to wait for the facts to come out before jumping to conclusions.
