This is not new news to anyone paying attention and there has not been an “invasion” by Turkish forces. My understanding is that there have been limited actions taken by Turkish military units/aircraft in Syria going back many months.
Turkey is in NATO, Are their actions coordinated with other NATO members? Supposedly, an attack by Russia on Turkey is an stack on all.

Any conflict would leave Russian forces at the end of a very long supply route once Turkey closed the Dardanelles to Russian ships, which would also affect Russian trade through the black sea.
The Turkish army is enormous and at least as well equipped and probably better trained than many Russian units.
The Turks could also raise hell in the Caucasus if they chose to do so.
Putin would face a tough choice if Erdogan moved in force into Syria.

Putin will exterminate them like roaches. The Turks are divided and the Russians have superior weaponry and a committed force. Give Putin time he will cause a coup in Turkey which will develop into a civil war and he will go in and have Erdogan’s head on a pike.
Maybe Turkey has invaded Syria because the war-mongers that Trump just defeated want their war now!......?
