Death toll is now 7, several still missing. WHY does the city/county not keep a record of disabled or bedridden people? 1 double amputee had to drive his motorized scooter down the smoke/fire filled road to the Evac center he was not notified to evacuate, thankfully a good Samaritan stopped and picked him up before his battery or he died. 3 were in Vandy Burn unit in Nashville as of yesterday.
They still don’t know if it was arson set, and/or if it was a muzzy like in Israel. Our gov loves those refugees and state legislature is fighting to keep him from importing more. But his AG is his pet ‘dog’.
I know there are many stories like the one you shared. We are praying for you in Arizona. Our community was hit by the Rodeo Chediski Fire in 2002. I am sure your community will rebuild and hopefully in the meantime there will be lot’s of donations that will help people survive.
FEMA didn’t do much to help and it was the community/friends & family that helped. My parents home burned in the fire but they didn’t “qualify” for any assistance. Thankfully they had insurance.
