hmmm you're right about that but it depends on what those 55,000 men are trained to do.
Think about a well trained 55,000 man force in a coordinated attack on civilian population centers. It's not all about the numbers.
I'll give you 55,000 people in the football stadium and I'll take 3 rifle platoons and a weapons platoon with machine guns and mortars. I'm not going to brag, but I think that ammo would be my limiting factor.
