Like many Americans, HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines attend a church where the pastor thinks homosexual behavior is a sin.
And somehow that’s “news.”
BuzzFeed printed the original story, headlined “Chip And Joanna Gaines’ Church Is Firmly Against Same-Sex Marriage.” From there it was picked up by Cosmopolitan, Us Weekly, and my favorite, Jezebel.
Why?
Now to be clear, the Gaineses aren’t even quoted in the original BuzzFeed story. We have no idea what they personally think about same-sex marriage. In fact, a spokesperson for the Antioch Community Church where the Gaineses attend, specifically tells BuzzFeed “she could not speak for Chip and Joanna Gaines on same-sex marriage.”
So we don’t know for sure what the Gaineses’ beliefs are on same-sex marriage. (And incidentally, this attitude it’s news that something like a pastor at a Christian church preaching that same-sex marriage isn’t OK is exactly the kind of out-of-touchness that helped create a climate where Donald Trump could become president.) But here’s the clincher: The couple, whose popular HGTV show is called “Fixer Upper,” has fans that may not agree with their views on same-sex marriage!

I see you picked up on yesterday's "Word of the Day" or at least it seemed that way when I walked in the house with the wife watching that show.
The left will not stop until every decent God fearing person is thrown of TV, radio, print and the Internet. PERIOD!

Anything and everything that is wholesome has to be destroyed...that is the legacy of the left wing.
If you ever watch HGTV, they purposefully highlight transgendered and homosexual couples making the view “think” that they represent 50% of the population.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to change the channel because Bill and Brad wish to buy a bungalow.
I pray that Chip and Joanna remain firm in their faith. This is nothing more than a spiritual attack by the Prince of Darkness.
We watch that show a lot. Love it more than Property brothers and Some others.
I always wonder if Joanna is a Native American Indian?.............

My wife used to watch it a lot. If I were in the same room, I'd watch it by osmosis while surfing on my iPad or napping in my recliner. I notice my wife doesn't tune it in much anymore. Too many reruns and the shows are kind or all the same.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out. I get the impression that Fixer Upper is one of Homo Gay TV's most popular shows. It'll be interesting to see if they throw the Gaines' under the bus, or if the Gaines' kow-tow, etc.
I used to think that also —she looks like an Indian princess. She is of Korean ancestry (her mom).
Its a great show my Mom watches it all the time they do good work..I figured eventually the leftist media would find SOMETHING to go after these fine people..leftists LOVE bringing down good folks..oh noes they are against gay marriage, guess what..the majority of the country thinks that homo marriage is DISGUSTING
Leave Chip and Joanna Gaines alone.

Let’s not forget the “Property Brothers” they also have homos all the time on their show..same with “Love it or list it” both shows air in Canada where homo love is all the craze

Although I didn’t use true shiplap, I just finished tearing out much of the sheetrock in our house and replaced it with T&G Knotty Pine applying 3 coats of amber Shellac. We LOVE it.
I may use shiplap upstairs because I shouldn’t need to tear out sheetrock and it’s cheeper. ;>)

I may have to start watching the Gaines more. I’ve pretty much stopped watching HGTV because every other show has gays on it. With so many LBGTWHATEVERS on tv, it’s no wonder the country thinks half the people are so it’s ok. Brainwashing.

Of course, Indians are Asians who made the trip early, so it makes sense. I have a buddy who is 100% Apache and when in China people speak to him in Chinese.
